Numerical analysis of spatial truss systems described stochastically is presented in the paper. Structural random parameters are defined by their first two probabilistic moments. The main idea behind the formulation is based on the second-moment analysis of a random variable expressed in the perturbation form. Obtained hierarchical equations are solved for the first two probabilistic moments for nodal displacements and axial forces. Computational algorithms are worked out and implemented into an existing deterministic finite element code. Numerical aspects of the problem are thoroughly discussed and illustrative results for a middle-scale truss system are given.
