摘要

This project, developed inside the Roman group "Pedagogy of the sky"- M.C.E. (Educational Cooperative Movement), has been put in practice in some secondary schools in Rome, for students 11-14 years old, and in several teacher development courses. Astronomical/technological knowledge students gain at school is often separated from their experience and perception of real phenomena, and this is the reason why students sometimes "block" when trying to understand space and astronomy. This course is founded on the belief that the process of learning is strongly related to the perception of phenomena and to emotions that nature and sky bring out in us. For this reason we teach space starting from our local point of view on the Earth, by real observations. The Earth and the sky become our scientific laboratories, "labs within everybody's reach", always available, free and fully equipped.
