In this paper, the effect of average graphite diameter on low cycle fatigue life was investigated in spheroidal graphite cast irons involving the same volume of graphite. The materials used in this study were three kinds of ferritic spheroidal graphite cast iron (JIS FCD400). The average graphite diameter D_m were 16.5 μm (SGD), 31.1 μm (MGD) and 42.7 μm (LGD). As a result, it was clear that the difference of fatigue life was small as comparison with the difference of average graphite diameter.
