摘要

Construction industry deals with various kind of diverse information. Information can be engineering data from exact sciences as well as linguistic or qualitative from soft sciences. To handle this information effectively, the relations among the attributes of the information items of the construction components should be established. In a complex construction environment the knowledge of these attribute relations can be used to identify the significance of any component on the rest of the construction components. The knowledge of attributes relations is a major concern of knowledge management issues in construction and the knowledge can be used in various ways as a part of the knowledge management, in particular, at the decision-making processes, at large. The method used in this work for the knowledge acquisition is known as Analytical Hierarchy Process which is implemented for hierarchical attribute relations determination as a novel work in construction.
