摘要

In this paper, the compositions of matte, slag and gaseous phases at equilibrium state have been calculated in a reverberatory furnace at Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex using the application of thermodynamics data. The method of calculation is based on a modified Brinkely-Newton-Raphson method. Parametric studies have been carried out to investigate the effects of (1) the excess air, (2) the type of charge, (3) the equilibrium temperature, and (4) the excess Oxygen on the matte, the slag and gases outflow compositions. This study is of great importance in predicting the optimum operational condition and the maximum yields of products.
