Based on considering material, geometric and contact nonlinearity, finite element (FE) analysis for steel double web angles framing connections under cyclic load is carried out. 3D solid element is adopted in the connection models. The connection angles were bolted to the column flange and welded to the beam web. The effects of the length of angles, the thickness of angles, the distance between the centerline of bolts and the corner of the angle and the diameter and grade of bolts on hysteretic behavior of connections are studied. Finite element results reveal that most of connections exhibit good ductile behavior; Most of connection rotation exceeded 0. 04 radians; these connections without enough strength can be considered as pinned joints. Other few connections can develop considerable moment, and the effects of connections strength on behavior of frames should be considered in frame structures analysis. According to the results of finite element analysis, some valuable conclusions are drawn.
