摘要

Data mining is a rather new disciplinary that aims to find knowledge hidden from large databases. Data mining has recently received much attention from scientific researchers, and scientific data mining occurred as an emerging trend in science. This paper addresses the key concepts, features and perspectives of mining scientific data (MSD), and shows by several concerete works that mining scientific data can be a powerful approach and tool to knowledge creation in science.
