摘要

The internet topology modeling is crucial for evaluating new protocols and designing new networks. Researchers improve the internet topology model from Waxman model to variations of the scale-free net with power law degree distribution and beyond. Recently, the research on complex networks has confirmed the small-world effect and scale-free property of internet topology. Motivated by these findings, a lot of attempts have been made in internet topology modeling. In this paper, we give a review on principal internet topology generation algorithms and internet topology models that are widely applied in recent researches. Several well-known internet topology models, such as Waxman model, Transit-Stub model, BA model and so on, are discussed.
