The design principle and fabrication technique of the automobile fog-resistant mirror were discussed. The technical specifications of the mirror include: maximum reflectivity, ρ_(max) ≥ 0.95 at 590nm; reflecting width is 50nm; mean transmissivity, 0.75 within short wavelength and the mean transmisivity is 0.80 within long wavelength region. The specifications of the newly developed fog-resistant mirror satisfy all the requirements of automobile fog-resistant illumination.
