Novel Fuzzy Clustering Algorithm to Predict Gas Outburst Zone

Gas outburst in coal is one of the most serious natural disasters during coal mining engineering in coal mines. How to predict outburst zone availably and prevent outburst rightly is an important project in technical research of mine safety. Advanced fuzzy mathematics based on a novel fuzzy clustering algorithm was used to predict gas outburst zone in China. The first part focuses on membership function was constructed and fuzzy nearness was used to calculate the degree of similarity between every tow fuzzy set vectors; then the case study for prediction of gas outburst zone in coal mines by fuzzy clustering analysis has been carried out. The result of this case study shows that the prediction result of gas outburst zone consisted with Qingshan Coal Mine's historical data.
