摘要

Online bidding is a hot field in the E-Commerce literature and is widely used in practice. One of the critical issues related is the design of its transaction mechanism. This paper presents a web-based simulation system called E-Bidding as an experimental environment for testing different online bidding transaction mechanism. The E-Bidding is designed to host simulations of a construction projects market in which the participants interact by submitting bids or offers via a web-based user interface. The E-Bidding environment is meant to be flexible so as to allow investigation of online bidding transaction mechanisms by setting different transaction criteria. In this paper, the architecture, design and development of E-Bidding and models embedded are described with its interactive, distributed and web-based character.
