摘要

Construction clients are increasingly calling for scientific and rational bid evaluation methods to select the most competitive contractors to realize their construction objects. In China, bid evaluation methods are normally the comprehensive methods with a fixed base price or amended base price, of which an important consideration is the construction cost estimated in advance by the clients. Evaluation criteria are normally set out in the bidding documents used as the basis for determining who is the most successful contractor. And then, bid evaluation without base price is introduced which is only used by a few construction projects and still on the study primarily in China. Their merits and defects are discussed respectively and to illustrate the difference among them, three examples are introduced in this paper.
