Recent press has dealt extensively with Climate Change, Global Warming and GHG or Kyoto Gases. Focus has been on the United States' Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) new Greenhouse Gas Mandatory Reporting Rule (GHG MRR). On January 1, 2010, EPA's GHG MRR regulation (known also as 40 CFR 98 began affecting 10,000+ facilities. This presentation summarizes GHG MRR requirements and provides answers to key questions. How does this affect my company? What should I do for full compliance? What measurement system considerations, such as accuracy, calibration, maintenance, recordkeeping, are required by the regulations?Beyond compliance there are significant benefit opportunities that can be realized. What are those benefits?Using the right measurement system and procedure, with a strong focus on loss control and energy efficiency results in TRIPLE WINNERS!!! Improve Profit, Improve Safety, and Aid in Regulatory Compliance.Several examples will be presented as illustrative of best practice procedures and technologies with associated benefit potential.
