摘要

This paper introduces a system of traffic information collection and distribution via Internet,rnwhich is composed of on-board system on probe car and server in center. Probe car collectsrnreal-time data, including location, speed, and time, and uplinks it to center throughrncommercial GPRS network. Center integrates and distributes road congestion, construction,rnentertainment and other public information to users via Internet. Based on the real-timerninformation, the on-board system can search fastest or shortest routes for traveling. Werndesigned and developed the software for the system and demonstrated in 2nd Tsinghua/HitachirnJoint Forum on Nov. 14th in Tsinghua University.
