The study investigates the different operational systems of collecting tolls along toll plazasrnthrough the measurement of service rate of vehicles passing through a toll plaza. Resultsrnshow that the dedicated E-pass lane has a lesser tollbooth transaction time. However, morernmotorists pass along conventional scheme causes congestion during rush hours. The mixedrnlane has greater service rate than the exclusive E-pass lane and lesser than the purely manualrntollbooth. Toll-lane capacity and delay of each toll-lanes also vary with the type of tollbooths.rnMoreover, the queue delay in mixed-mode scheme is less than for the manual scheme whilernthe dedicated E-pass experiences no delay.
