The generalized point models were considered for two-dimensional problems of diffraction by fluid loaded plates with small obstacles. In these models additionally to classical boundary-contact conditions an additional condition was specified for the logarithmic derivative of the acoustic field in the central point of the obstacle. The parameter S in this condition was noted independent of the general parameters of the boundary value problem. It is defined only by the width of a gap in the plate. As it was mentioned above this fact allows the parameter S to be chosen from the analysis of a simpler problem for absolutely rigid plate. The other advantage of the parametrization in the form (28.11) is the possibility to extend the model to the case of dynamic problems (nonstationary) and to three-dimensional problems with translational symmetry. The method of zero-range potentials allows three-dimensional defects in fluid loaded plates to be modelled in a similar manner.
