In these days, the need for reengineering legacy systems is already acute. As the first phase of reengineering, reverse engineering is an important problem to be tackled. Legacy systems often must go through this phase before they have been reengineered. Much information about the systems can be abstracted in this process such as architecture, process flow, complexity and some other features of the systems. In this paper we propose a visual approach to reverse engineering the systems by way of directed graph. We will build a direct graph exclusively on information extracted from source code. The resulting graphs help to reduce the cost of succeeding phases of reengineering and help the developers to understand the systems visually. Besides these, these graphs also have great usefulness in project management.
