In phase-shifting digital holography in-line holograms re recorded by a CCD camera with the four step hphase shifts of the reference beam to evaluate distributions of amplitude and phase of the object wave from which 3-dimensional image is reconstructed by a computer.The method makes full use of pixel numbers of hte CCE camera to occupy full area of the reconstructred image because of the lack of carrier fringes empoloyed fin the converntional digital holography.We present here the basic principle of the mehod and applicaitons to3-D microscopy and visualizaiton of phase objects.
