摘要

Non-conforming finite elements are commonly used for approximating fourth-order eigenvalue problems in linear plate theory.We derive error estimates for eigenpairs by nonconforming Zienkiewicz-type triangular elements.We also propose a simple postprocessing method which improves the order of convergence of finite element eigenpairs.Thus, an a posteriori analysis is presented by means of different triangular elements.The technique applied is general.It is illustrated and discussed by numerical results.
