Ground-based airframe-charging tests were conducted on a full-scale aircraft instrumentedrnwith electric-field ("whip") and magnetic-field ("loop") antennas. H-field antennas performedrnbetter by more than 25 dB over the range of airframe discharge current. H-field antennas alsornperformed successfully inside a steel aircraft hangar, giving correct Loran-C fix informationrnwith large values of p-static noise present.
