A model has been developed to predict the size, spacing, and distribution of therndispersoids in aluminium alloys containing zirconium and scandium. The model has beenrnapplied to predict the dispersoid pinning pressure in AA7050. The stored energy afterrndeformation has been measured as a function of strain rate using EBSD. This, inrncombination with the calculated pinning pressure, has been used to predictrnrecrystallization behaviour during solution treatment. These predictions have beenrncompared to experimental observations.
