First 1 want to thank McMaster University and the organizing committee for the opportunity to open this Symposium. It is indeed an honour. As I look around the room I can tell you that I am really excited about seeing a bunch of Blast Furnace people here. Although my biography says a lot about being a blast furnace person, I am really an Ironmaker so I am really happy to be here.
