To improve the efficiency of electric vehicle technology, hybrid energy sources are being incorporated. Another strategy for improvement is to facilitate energy recovery in regeneration mode. So the solution to this to use a bidirectional DC-DC converter in electric vehicles. The improvement of efficiency can be further increased by using a non-isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter. In this paper, various nonisolated bidirectional DC-DC converters have been simulated and compared and a novel DC-DC converter has been discussed in detail and the results have been obtained by using PSIM.
