The paper discusses the most general patterns of radiation-induced conductivity (RIC) behaviour in polymers and problems of its prediction. New data on the effect of temperature, pre-irradiation dose, dose rate, and high pressure on the dependences of RIC on the irradiation time are given. The role of molecular mobility and of its changes due to radiation-chemical transformations in the charge transport is analysed. The applicability of the quasi-band model of multiple trapping for RIC prediction is discussed. A physical model of RIC taking into account molecular dynamics is suggested.
