Trial production of optical fiber cord cable with 24 fibers, compatible with the InfinitiBand~TM 10.0 Gbps standard was performed and evaluated. The value of the skew for each unit was 5 ps/m or less, and the skew value remained unchanged by bending, twisting, or folding up unlike the conventional ribbon-type cables. Moreover, the developed cables had excellent mechanical and optical characteristics.
