摘要

In structural reliability assessment, uncertainties and imperfections arise form the incompleteness of statistical data. The methods proposed in this paper aim at quantifying and at taking into account the uncertainties resulting from a probabilistic representation based on a limited number of observations. These methods lead to a reliability index accounting not only for inherent variability of the structure but also for additional uncertainties concerning the probabilistic formualtion. The reliability index evalauted through the proposed methods can also be interpreted as a measure of confidence of the classically evalauted Hasofer-Lind reliability index.
