WEDECO has developed the Ozone/UV-combination system, starting with a laboratory method to a commercial scale process. With this process it is possible to remove halogenated hydrocarbons from the water by non-agressive wet oxidation without producing any harmful by-products. Examples of this treatment of contaminated ground water will be given in the following.
