摘要

This is a study of the feasibility of developing an integrated regional transportation hub at Denver's historic Union Station and how such a facility could be integrated with future and existing private development and public infrastructure improvements in the area.The Union Station intermodal transportation center is intended to be the "keystone" of regional transportation and the connection of the rejuvenated Lower Downtown Historic District to the redevelopment in the newly available Central Platte Valley. It is also intended to contribute to the reduction in single-occupant vehicle trips which will reduce traffic congestion and vehicle emissions, and consequently improve air quality in one of the region's most polluted areas.
