Better results of both applying the elasticity method to the analysis of stress and drawing the stress-diagram of underground diversion penstock and surrounding concrete structure in hydroelectric power station have been obtained. The calculating examples clearly state that the elasticity method in this paper is of rationality and the calculation is simple and convenient. And the elasticity method is an effective method for stress analysis of under-ground diversion penstock and surrounding concrete structure.
