This study evaluate fundamental properties of polymer-modified mortars which was developed for use in repairing concrete structures. The mortar was made of a portland cement, a fine aggregate, admixtures and a mixing water. Epoxy emulsion and Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) latex were used for admixture. Selected fundamental properties such as absorption, drying shrinkage, freeze and thaw resistance and strength characteristics were experimentally evaluated and compared with common cement mortar. The result proved that their qualities were better than those of common cement mortars.
