摘要

The researches on graphic simulation techniques for architectural planning and design have been done as master theses and a doctoral dissertation under the supervision of the authors at Hokkaido University,Japan.Townscape and architectural design simulations have been used for various purposes on business and education fields.As simulation media and techniques affect the results of the cognition of form and townscape of participants,we have to select the appropriate methods depending on hte purpose of the simulation.However,the restricted conditions of simulation method have not been well researched.The question is,what kind of simulation should we use,and what kind of ocndition suould we pay attention to when making simulation stimuli? In this apepr,the authors discussed from the viewpoint of graphic science about the reliability of hte simulation media,and how did the students reach their results,over reviewing their researches.
