Since healthcare has been in a period of transition, volatility, and extreme competition, Mercy Hospital embrks on a major Reen gineering effort to Redesign the delivery of Patient Care. The intent of the redesign was to have a team of healthcare professionals led by a registered nurse (RN) who would provide a coordinated approach in the delivery of patient care. In addition, less time is spent waiting for services previously performed by other departments.
