摘要

To promote greater use of transit buses as solutions to many social issues, it is essential toprovide dynamic bus operation information and demand-responsive bus service to users atanywhere and in any situations, which substantially improves users’ convenience of busservice and eventually decreases service cost. Association of Electronic Technology forAutomobile Traffic and Driving (JSK) realized such services by a simple system with ITStechnology and proved its feasibility by an operational test on real bus lines. As a result, itwas proved that such a system can be constructed at low cost from a general platform withextendibility and satisfies both of users and operation companies. The investigation showsusefulness of such system increases and usage of users is advanced as personal informationequipment is spreading.
