In a global upstream company effectively managed road transport is a vital component to the success of an operation. If it is not managed effectively the consequences when things go wrong are severe and can ultimately lead to loss of human life, which is intolerable. This paper explains the integrated approach that Shell Exploration and Production is currently embarking on to tackle road safety globally for the long term.
