This study clarifies a new methodology for making and proposing the customer information indispensable for product concept making when an improved type of new product for the next term is developed with mature products with many competing products as the object. It is composed of 2 parts. First, the main improvement object of the main functions of the particular product is clarified by the customer evaluation of the present functions. 2ndly, plural product design plans are devised combining the methods embodying this improvement object function, and a conjoint analysis is carried out after the preference of the customers towards these plans had been investigated. And, the information obtained from them are summarized into a product concept table. Furthermore, plural product concept tables are made after being segmented by customer groups. The utilization of these information supports the new product development with high customer satisfaction according to the customer group
