摘要

Many tools are available for helping students and professionals design ener energy ef gy efficient buildings. In the ficient 1960's, the Mahoney Tables were created to help with ables climate responsive residential design. The Mahoney Tables accept input in the form of detailed climate data, ables and they output suggestions regarding climate responsive building layout, wall openings, roof shape, overhangs, etc. Although not well known in the United States, the Mahoney Tables are widely used in architecture schools ables in India and other places where thousands of students are introduced to them as part of their education in sustainable and climate responsive design methods. This paper describes "Mahoney Tables Plus," an ables interactive, easy-to-use software program that mimics the Mahoney Tables. It also briefly discusses the potential of ables.
