An interactive graphical user interface (GUI) package for thesizing of cables in building installation design, called CABSEL, ispresented in this paper. The main purpose of this package is to replacethe obsolete software programs previously used in cable selection with auser-friendly and interactive GUI program. In addition, this paper isalso written to emphasize the impact of modern world technology in thefield of electrical engineering. No longer is the cable sizing process amanual-intensive and tedious job. Instead, with the aid of CABSEL, cablesizing is now a relatively easy and simple task
