This paper substantially demonstrates the motive, content, and effect of applying virtual manufacturing (VM for short) mode, pointing out that the essence of VM is value chain disintegration and reintegration. Moreover, taking Neusoft Group Ltd. For exemplification, the author probes into the effect of VM for China's manufacturing industry, and deems that VM will be an alternative way for China's manufacturing enterprise development.
