摘要

Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae (APP), the cause of porcine pleuropneumonia, is a major economic problem in the swine industry worldwide. In recent years, prevention and control of the disease is increasingly difficult due to the occurrence of antibiotic-resistant strains and the lack of good vaccine. It is also very difficult to protect pigs against APP infection even immunized with killed vaccine or subunit vaccine, because of no cross protection can be conferred between serotypes.
