There were total 3 nos. of papers which were presented in the seminar out of total 6 papers on the subject.The first paper was presented by Mr. R.V. Dani the theme of the paper was, even during surplus production campaign India's share in the international export market of sugar is insignificant because of limitations of quality parameters of Indian plantation white sugar.In his presentation he mentioned about typical cycle of boom and bust in the Indian sugar industries. To break this cycle of shortage and excess production India should develop supplementary crop like sugar beet during lower production and during excess production part of sugar is to be diverted to ethanol depending on prevailing prices of sugar and ethanol & part is to be exported by enhancing the export with improvement in quality parameters of our sugar.
