Predicting cumulative damage to reinforced concrete (RC) walls from multiple weapondetonations is complicated by the fact that the strength of a wall damaged by a first weapon isless quantifiable than for an undamaged wall. In the past, subscale experiments were conductedto investigate and provide data for predicting RC wall response and damage from a singleweapon detonation. ERDC has developed and executed a research program to provide data forpredicting RC wall response and damage from multiple weapon detonations. Testing under thiseffort involved performing a combination of modal and follow-on explosive testing on previouslydamaged RC walls. High-performance numerical simulations were also performed to support theexperiments. The paper will focus on results of one selected cumulative damage experiment.
