Several aspects have been presented to design an high-density EMI filters. Grounding issues, different topologies, as well as diverse methods to reduce the overall filter size have been addressed, including the use of multilayer windings to maximize the window area of the core and other types of magnetic materials like nano-crystalline core. Furthermore, a new inductor structure that integrates both CM and DM inductance was proposed taking advantage of the CM choke available window area
