Salt of chloric(VII) acid and μ-4-amino-l ,2,4-triazole-μ-dichlorocopper(II) was prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra and TGIDTA analyses. Sensitivity, detonation velocity and detonator tests were also preformed. The compound has a ID chain structure in which Cu(II) ions are linked by triazole N1.N2 and Cl~ bridges. It is a detonat with initiating performance close to that of lead azide.
