摘要

The present research examined whether job engagement moderated the stressor-strain relationship among civil servants. Through questionnaire, we found that job engagement interacted with three different stressors (sleep disorders, work stress, family stress) in the prediction of psychasthenia. In support of engagement as a buffer against stress, when stressors were low (low levels of sleep, low levels of work stress, and family stress), servants had relatively low levels of psychasthenia, regardless of whether they were engaged in or disengaged from their job. However, when stressor levels were high, servants who were engaged in their job had less elevation of psychasthenia than servants who were disengaged from their job. The results are discussed in terms of the potential mechanisms by.
