With the development of the society, English listening and speaking ability is being paid more and more attention. As a result, oral English teaching in colleges and universities has also been the focus of the teachers and students. This paper first analyzes the present situation of oral English teaching in colleges; then summarizes the existing problems; and finally proposes corresponding countermeasures. The aim of the paper is to improve oral English teaching, cultivate oral communication skills of students effectively and comprehensively improve the English proficiency of college students.
