Entrepreneurs, practitioners, and academics generally believe that management experience serves as an important factor in determining entrepreneurial venture success; however, prior literature reviews have found no consistent link between management experience and performance. This research attempts to provide additional insight by exploring the management experience-entrepreneurial firm performance relationship via meta-analysis. Findings indicate that specification of management experience plays a major role in improving the probability of obtaining positive estimates for the management experience-entrepreneurial firm performance relationship.
