Research on dynamic behavior of soil-structure systems has been mostly developed in the recent years. In this study, the effect of structures on the liquefaction potential of saturated loose sandy soils was investigated as one of the important topics in seismic geotechnical engineering. The aspect ratio of structure and direction of the seismic excitation were the main parameters. Experiments were conducted using a 1 g shaking table to evaluate the foundation settlement with different aspect ratios in saturated loose sand. Results showed increasing in amounts of settlement by enlargement of a foundation aspect ratio for loading parallel and perpendicular to the foundation's width. This increase was larger along the parallel loading to the foundation's width than the corresponding value for loading arallel to the length.
