Investment cases are prepared for a Stirling-powered wood chip combined heat and power plant withan electrical capacity of 140 kW and a thermal capacity of 560 kW, for a general case in Germany, the UK andDenmark. Existing national financial support schemes are included for each of the three countries. The impact of thesupport schemes on the net present value in each case is assessed. Differences between the three countries arediscussed, especially with regard to differences in national energy prices, renewable energy ambitions and existingenergy profiles.
