Parking becomes an insurmountable problem in cities as the usage of cars becomes common and the urbanization trend continues. Many efforts have been made to reduce the parking pressure by developing real-time sensing techniques or big data based parking occupancy prediction models. In this paper, we focus on a crowdsensing solution where ultrasonic sensors are chosen as the detecting devices. An R-N algorithm based on an innovative crowdsensing solution is developed to enhance the detection accuracy. The performance of the proposed R-N algorithm is evaluated by an analytical model. The results prove that the crowdsensing detection accuracy can be improved by employing the proposed R-N algorithm.
