摘要

Large scale events have a high demand for fleet and traffic management solutions. In this paper we will present results from a new traffic management system which was set up during the FIFA world cup 2006 in Hanover (Germany). Here we achieved in close co-operation with local public authorities and sponsoring companies to integrate mobile (FCD) and classical traffic sensor systems to improve traffic and park guidance. Additional objective was to test potential traffic management scenarios for Beijing's 2008 Olympic Games, where German car maker Volkswagen will be official auto sponsor of the IOC.
